William Jones was born in Stettler Alberta in 1944 but raised in Calgary. He started painting at the age of 18 and has continued to learn and paint. William is an artist that mainly paints with acrylic on masonite but is proficient in oils, watercolours and pastels. Some of his paintings come from his own photos or sometimes his own imagination. Living close to the Rocky Mountains gives one a thousand ideas for a lifetime of paintings. William tries to emphasize as much realism as he can while still maintaining his style. His paintings are enjoyed across North America and he offers both originals and limited edition prints of his paintings. William lives in tthe Waparous area of Alberta.
