Margery McBride Elliott
Calgary, Alberta
"Nature is my happy place. End Stop"
The Canadian landscape has always been a source of energy for Margery, both for exploration and inspiration. Climber, hiker and paddler, there is always something notable to experience, whether it be a new destination or a place that is often revisited and feels like an old friend. Every trip is always an adventure with the struggle to play or to paint.
Her work is focused on the locations she has visited, rendering the place, the feel and the light.
Margery graduated from the University of Calgary in 1995, with a Bachelor of Fine Art majoring in painting and photography. A member of the Leighton Art Centre and the Calgary Creative Arts Guild.
