Manna Morlin
Langley, British Columbia
Marianne, life long curse, pronounced Marianna, (German ancestry), Manna is a childhood nickname reclaimed as artist alias when emerging from the trauma inflicted by Covid. With no formal training, only grade 12 High School Art, Manna stopped painting because of the constant negativity from people close to her, but after a devistating Covid lay-off & finally identifying as autistic at age 44, she picked up a paint brush again after 20 years, soley because of her former employer, local Langley business man, & personal hero, Glenn Bell. She is a proud member of the Langley Arts Council & unlike her own experience, strongly encourages her own 2 autistic boy to paint & create.
If it doesn't work the first time, use more paint. Life is full of coulours, use them. Be bold & vibrant. Don't ever let others tell you how you should or shouldn't create. I'm not everyone's cup of tea, & that's OK!
