Lori Ryan is a realistic acrylic artist who lives in Calgary, Alberta. A native of Blenheim, a small farming community in southwestern Ontario, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1990 from Brescia University College, Western University. As a young woman, she was interested in art, writing and photography, but her journey instead took her on a career path in the financial sector. In 2017 life pivoted for Lori, and she took that opportunity to finally focus her energy on her first love – art. Initially she participated in various art classes through the City of Calgary, but she then focused on completing the Visual Design Certificate from University of Calgary, Continuing Education in 2021.
