For me, painting is a way to combine exterior experience with the inner life. I combine what I see & feel in an attempt to get beyond the literal, and find a new harmony in expression with the paint. I work in the oil medium in a mostly layered way. My energetic 'signature soft palette' is a voice that allows me to decipher and define my thoughts and feelings through my art practice. My work is largely semi abstracted landscapes and botanicals worked from memories and intuition.
