Catherine is a artist who paints with acrylics. She was raised in rural Alberta and has always loved the moods of the big open skies, the prairies and the mountains. She has hiked the mountains for years and has volunteered with paleontology, hiking the badlands to find fossils. Her art was secondary to her career as an R.N. until retirement allowed the artist to emerge. In 2013 she joined the Carstairs Artist Guild and progressed her art with professional instructors. In 2020 she had 2 paintings published in the juried Paint the Barn Red Book: An Historic History of the Barns of Mountain View county and received a second place award for her Whittle Barn painting in the cover competition.
