Jenn Lecour is Canadian artist who creates cold wax and oil multi-layered paintings with a focus on color and texture. Her work is intuitive, as the layers of paint are added, scraped away and sanded the painting emerges...sometimes the form of a landscape appears, sometimes the composition is purely abstract. She hopes her art connects with you and sparks a feeling or a memory as she believes that art can speak in a way that words cannot. Her studio is on Pender Island, a small island in the Salish Sea, where the ocean is always changing and there is a rugged beauty in the landscape.
