Lasha Barbosa
Fort McMurray, Alberta
Never, in her wildest dreams, did Lasha ever think she would be a Fine Artist.
In 2019, Lasha had brain surgery to remove a rare brain tumor and her life restarted... she had to relearn many Motor and Cognitive Functions.
Every day, Lasha struggles with Brain Injury symptoms, Chronic Pain, and Mental Health issues. These limitations can make life very isolating. Though, Lasha's brain tumor journey stole so much from her it also gave her a whole new life path - the path of a Fine Artist.
Art helps Lasha in so many ways: emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Lasha is happy to share her art and hope it brings you as much joy as it does her.

"It's funny, following brain surgery I had this thought, "I can't wait to get back to the old me"; but, the truth is, after brain surgery there was no going back to the "old me"... I was reborn and needed to learn who I was reborn into."
