Karen was born and raised in Alberta. After having 4 children, she and her family moved to the U.K. in 1997. One year in Scotland followed by many in Ramsgate England, where she owned a pub. At that time, Karen was on the board of directors and active in The Wildlife Art Society International. She also showed with the Southern Nature Artists, and taught seniors.
Sold the Bedford Inn ( their pub) in September 2019. Came back to Canada and moved to Nanaimo in November. Then Covid hit. Trying to get back into the swing of painting and shows again.
