Tess Noren
Grand forks, British Columbia
Tess Noren is a self-taught artist who’s manic creativity was first fostered by her Nanna.
Inspired endlessly by her four children, Tess paints to savour the rapidly evolving motherhood experience.
Charcoal for the fuzzy softness of fond memories and soft pastels to celebrate the rich, saturating colours of an ever-moving family life.
She finds watercolour most captivating because of its unique personality and unwillingness to be fully controlled. Much like children, it’s at its most vibrant and beautiful when coaxed with a firm but gentle hand.
Tess can be found among the chaos, sometimes rescuing moments to be explored and enjoyed for years to come.

When I paint, I am loving my subject. Painting is my gratitude journal.
