Margot Hallman
Sechelt, British Columbia
Margot works with pastel, oil and acrylic. After a career as a lawyer/mediator/arbitrator, she devotes her time to landscape painting.
Creating as a visual artist was a wonderful release from the stresses of her professional work.
She took many courses from outstanding pastel artists and she became a signature member of Pastel Artists of Canada.
Margot now lives on the Sunshine Coast and has studied with a number of oil painters and other landscape artists. She has had a number of her pieces shown at the Federation of Canadian Artists and in local galleries on the coast.
She is on the board of the Gibson’s School of the arts and she assists in bringing quality teaching artists to the school.

I am drawn to the meeting of air, land and water and I want to express the endless relationships between these elements in my paintings. The west coast of Canada offers me profound inspiration. I want those who see my work to be moved by the vastness and unsullied landscapes
