Sandra Yuen is a Vancouver-based artist and writer. She earned a Fine Arts Diploma from Langara College and a Bachelor of Arts in art history from the University of British Columbia. She is the recipient of the Courage to Come Back Award and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. She paints house portraits, city scenes, florals and abstracts in acrylic and oil painting. Art is her passion and creativity is part of her recovery from illness. She is currently interested in painting and drawing house portraits, documenting homes in Vancouver, British Columbia. They reflect isolation, silence, and the disappearing city as new construction replaces old neighbourhoods.
