Louise's passion for landscape painting comes from observing the many layers of juxtaposed colours hidden in the textures of grasses, in light kissing a hillside or the surface of water, colours swimming beneath those surface reflections; skies illuminated behind clouds and by sunsets. These “hidden” hues, the light and air between the viewer and the event, the layers of atmospheric particles reaching into the distance, create a visual vibration. This is her muse and her challenge.

My intention is to convey a sense of place in a landscape. To connect the natural world with memory and emotion by capturing light and atmosphere.
