I was born & raised in Calgary, however, I have strong ties to rural Alberta, since both my parents were raised on farms. My mother introduced me to art, crafts, sewing & knitting early in childhood. These experiences with different media have influenced my art. Working in the oil industry from 1977 to 1990 afforded me the means to travel to many countries. One can find remnants of my exposure to travel & crafts in my art. I received a BFA from the U of C. I am active member of the Canadian Federation of Artists & Leighton Art Centre.
