Lynn Budny has been an artist since kindergarten, when classmates asked her to decorate their report card envelopes. She sold her first drawing in high school. After completing a BFA from the University of Calgary, she earned a Diploma in Graphic Design and Illustration from Capilano University.

Lynn has a connection with nature, spending childhood summers on BC’s Sunshine Coast. During her teens she grew up in small town southern Alberta, drawing the sweeping vistas of the foothills and Rocky Mountains.

Although working full time as a graphic designer, she's a devoted oil painter and loves the medium and the way it lends itself to the vibrant yet translucent quality of the clouds and sky.
