Maggie comes from a design background having graduated from the Royal College of Art in London, and beginning a career in fashion design followed by costume design in Montreal.
Later as a Prop Master in film for many years in Vancouver and finally as an artist with her
appreciation for design and all things visual.
She explores the ocean landscapes on Vancouver Island using her photo references as a guide. Maggie paints in a realist style and more recently has added mixed media to the work, creating more abstraction and a greater depth of atmosphere.
She seeks out dramatic skies and waves, interesting reflections and contrasts of light.
