Heather Hollingsworth
Kelowna, British Columbia
Heather Hollingsworth was born in Williams Lake, B.C. and now resides in Kelowna. Inspired by nature, she strives to capture those moments when light and shadow combine to create images that can invoke the smell of a forest or the feeling that one can hear birds and insects in the foliage.
The person who was the biggest influence on Heather becoming an artist was her archeologist/artist uncle, Bill Brown, a creative and loving person who was always encouraging and supportive.
Heather is a self-taught watercolour artist. She was introduced to watercolours in high school and it was then that her delight in this sometimes challenging medium began.
