Rosemary Bennett
Calgary, Alberta
Originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Rosemary has resided in Southern Alberta
since the 1970's. She now resides in Calgary. An avid interest in the landscape of
Western Canada and the people, animals, and flowers that inhabit this landscape is
expressed in her work. A self taught artist, Rosemary has supplemented her education
with courses at Mount Royal College and The University of Calgary.
Regarded as a representational artist, Rosemary interprets landscapes and florals in
brilliant colour and old western buildings in their rugged historical settings. A full time
artist and artisan, her passion for the arts keep her active on a year round basis.
Rosemary is proficient in many mediums: oils, water colors, acrylics, colored pencil, and soft
pastels.

I have been drawing and painting since I was a child. I love color and expressing it in many mediums. I use many mediums such as watercolor, colored pencil, acrylics, oils, and soft pastels in my work. I am inspired by the natural word of plants, people, and wild life.
