Dana Johnson
Vancouver, British Columbia
Dana Johnson is a Vancouver-born artist. She studied painting at Emily Carr University of Art and Design after a successful career in fashion design and teaching. Her love of European landscapes and history, historical costume and nature comes across in much of her work. A continual influence has been from her extensive travel experiences.
Painting primarily with acrylics, her current work is inspired by experiencing nature locally and afar. These landscapes, with a focus on trees, are soft, fluid with glowing light, natural energy and movement. They will take you to a calm place.
She has participated in many group shows and had gallery representation. Her work can be seen in private collections in B.C., Alberta and Ontario.

'I love the calm feeling that a single tree can bring. They represent nature, beauty, strength, resilience and life.'
