Juror Piece
Intaglio is the name given to printmaking techniques which use a printing plate that has been incised into. Aquatint is a form of intaglio printmaking where the surface of the printing plate is carved into. Ink is applied to the plate, then wiped away from the surface. The ink remains in the groves so that when passed through a printing press and subject to great pressure, a print is created.
