About the Artwork
This is a portait of an older gentleman in his nineties whom I had the pleasure of meeting. Engaging and well-spoken, he downplayed the challenges of aging with wonderful humour. I found his face especially fascinating as it seemed like a visual roadmap of his life. I could almost sense all he had done and seen. My goal was to embody his history within the portrait.
