Not For Sale
This small still-life began as a trompe l'oeil exercise painted in "alla prima" style. My intention was to explore a short depth of field with some items pinned to a corkboard. Everything is a substitute for something real: a glass hummingbird for the real thing, a tube of bright red paint for a flower, a postcard of a genuine masterpiece, etc.
