This mix media art work is one of many paintings in the artist collection 'Fruit series' where harvesting is a common theme. This painting is unique using layers of watercolour and gouache alternating with melted wax on rice paper. When the surface is completely covered with wax, the rice paper is gently creased allowing the wax to fall and watercolour introduced. All wax is removed and detailed paint strokes completes the painting. The finished art work is sandwiched between two panes of glass and customed framed.
