This Cedar, Waxwing was right outside our door! Way up top, just taking a break from their long travels. Arriving safely, we viewed them for awhile at a distance. I actually had time to go and get my sketch book and sit on the bare ground to enjoy their presence. Such docile little creatures, they are and I feel the gel mediums really helped push the background back, give the bird the smooth look they have and allow the pines to show some texture. This painting could hang anywhere and be enjoyed.
