Mixed media with sand, indigo pigment and acrylic gels. Inspired by the ebb and flow of tides. The beauty, force, and energy of water have always drawn me in and it is the inspiration of this piece.
In much the same way that we all immerse ourselves in water, I chose to literally immerse myself in the way I painted this piece. Instead of a brush, I used my hands. I drenched the canvas in water and medium and used the force of water and medium to manipulate the paint in just the right way.
