About the Artwork

Into the Fog
Sometimes we must step
into the fog to find out
where we are going.

Vers la brume
La brume nous enseigne
à avoir confiance en Dieu
qui invite nos pas.
Luke/Luc 12 :32

Climbing mountains can be strenuous. One step at a time gets us to where we want to be. Edith Cavell, Jasper, Alberta, AB.

Je trouve fascinant le retraite de la brume avec chaque pas. Ça me donne l’information nécessaire pour continuer.

Karen Blanchet

Edmonton, Alberta

Karen attended Julian Ashton Art School before finishing an Honours French Degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and a Professional A Teaching Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. In 2016 she helped organize the collective “Devenir”. Her work forms part of collections internationally.

"We live in a fractured world. This chaos is evident in my work. In between the rivulets of paint and the textural accidents I choose colours and forms to suggest a landscape where beauty continues to reign. She is essential to the survival of humanity."
