It is always exhilarating to reach the view point of Giant Head's Summit, and feel like a proud Canadian. The summit offers magnificent views of Okanagan Lake as well as many of Summerland's familiar landmarks. This popular mountain park holds historical, ecological and recreational importance in the Okanagan. I have viewed the beauty of this landscape in many different lights, time of day, and atmosphere. I enjoyed painting this particular sky with layers of semitransparent veils of colour, with the brushstroke of red for our Canadian flag, representing the depth and richness of our Canadian culture.
