About the Artwork

The subject of this figure painting is my actual childhood teddy bear discovered in and evacuated from my parents' flooded basement a few years ago. I do not remember how he lost his eyes. In this imagining of his "rescue", Teddy is saved from a fire. My human model posed with Teddy in less dire circumstances.
