Pink Mountain, a beautiful but fragile ecosystem north of Fort St John, is home to several endangered flora and fauna. The mountain caribou is only one. Few of these caribou remain and it is my intention art can bring attention to the issue.
The top of the mountain is lush with alpine flowers and a tapestry of green foliage along its slopes. As a family we make a yearly pilgrimage each July to view the wild flowers, butterflies and animals that make their home on the mountain.
Linocut is my primary medium, but I also enjoy adding colour to the work with gouache paints.
