Some dried roses were the inspiration for this painting series where I explore the emotions and experiences of my journey through advanced cancer and other serious diseases. I am working with colour forms and lines to see how they can both define shapes and disrupt them. Here, I’m pushing myself from representing the flowers through into much more abstraction than I’m used to.
