“Embeaving #82”: a cross between embroidering and weaving, using yarn as one would use a conventional medium such as paint. This piece is an exploration in my ongoing interest in the play of dualities in everyday life.
In spite of the apparent opposition of such forces, they can coexist at any one time, and in a way that is not blatantly polarized but, rather, seemingly harmonious. The intent is to capture moments experienced as we coast through daily living, moments that encapsulate an emotional grey zone in which oppositional forces are at play. Such interplay creates visual balance and yet is dynamic, still suggestive of ongoing movement.
