Sometimes, there is a gap between what the news reports and what is reality. People become numb to the constant barrage of information. As a result, even when people are at the scene of the incident, they feel detached from the reality of it. These mannequins are on holiday by the lake. Across the water, multiple forest fires are raging through the mountains, yet their smooth blank faces are unable to show an ounce of emotion. The flames creep closer.
