This piece grew out of place of grief and explores the significance of deep connection (with oneself and others) and comfort within the experience of significant loss and pain. In the image, the blue emerges from the background and wraps around the body, becoming a mysterious, seemingly empathetic, supportive form that could be waves or hands or remain a mystery. This form offers the figure safety, comfort, and a place to just "be."
