Her name is Kayla Thompson, she is aboriginal, originally from Saskatchewan and living in Calgary. We have collaborated on many projects but this one in particular, she wanted to do something about the Dakota pipeline protest. She thought of face paint, which I did, we took a few pictures and when we were finished, she was cleaning up the facepaint, that is when I noticed my next painting .
