About the Artwork
Michael O'Toole was a Vancouver-born artist renowned for his vivid landscapes and seascapes. He studied architectural design at BCIT and worked in architectural illustration in Toronto before returning to Vancouver to pursue fine art full-time in 1992. His diverse media included watercolour, pen and ink, graphite, gouache, and acrylics. Influenced by his mother, artist Nancy O’Toole, and instructor Charles M. Svob, O'Toole developed a dramatic, impressionistic style. His work is held in private and corporate collections across Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Japan.
