Gary Sim is an artist, author, and former architectural technologist. He worked on BC Rail rock gangs before a 31-year career in architecture with firms including Stantec and DGBK. His 2013 memoir Railway Rock Gang recounts his rail work. Sim’s prints and drawings have been exhibited by the Burnaby Art Gallery, which also holds his works in its Permanent Collection. He founded the BC Artists project, a free online resource with 20,000+ artist entries, earning national recognition. His practice focuses on limited edition linocuts, relief prints, and drawings inspired by nature, architecture, and imagination.
