I belong to the local Dahlia organization. In 2025 Clearview Jonas was chosen to be the Dahlia of the Year! I grew this dahlia in my garden and was amazed by its shifting colours. Early in the season, its blooms opened in a vibrant pink-coral hue. By autumn, they had softened into a delicate lavender. I wanted to capture the essence of both moments in a single painting—honouring the full spectrum of its beauty through the changing light and time. What a transition!
