A favourite pastime of mine (besides painting of course), is to snuggle up in a cozy, warm and sunlit place with a captivating book. We had a sun room in the house where I grew up where I would play and read. In this piece, I have tried to capture that happy place as well as my passion for being engrossed in an ‘I can’t put this down’ book. I am presently experimenting with mixed media. This painting includes collage and writing from my mother’s journal along with some of my own writings layered with acrylic paint.
