About the Artwork

One Only
One with each other,
universal unity.
One in God and all.

Une
Une seul Dieu pour tous.
Juste une. Elle partage sa vie
avec tout le monde.
Isaiah/Ésaïe 45:21b

This diptych (Oneing) is a pale reflection of the beauty encountered that lovely morning on the beach at Point No Point.

Le pouvoir des vagues en contraste à la lumière douce me tait. Je suis émerveillée devant le clin d’œil du cœur de notre Créateur.

Karen attended Julian Ashton Art School before finishing an Honours French Degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and a Professional A Teaching Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. In 2016 she helped organize the collective “Devenir”. Her work forms part of collections internationally.

"We live in a fractured world. This chaos is evident in my work. In between the rivulets of paint and the textural accidents I choose colours and forms to suggest a landscape where beauty continues to reign. She is essential to the survival of humanity."
