About the Artwork
Glowing pink anemones are one of the first plants in the garden each spring, but the incredible pink flowers emerge only in late summer - much to the gardener's and the bee's delight. The colour seems almost luminescent against the green foliage.
I managed to capture a particularly incandescent photo of this perennial during golden hour a few years ago, and enjoyed trying to capture the many shades of pink in this painting done in 2023.
