Traeger spent 32 years working for various design studios, advertising agencies, printing facilities in both Canada and the USA. In 2017 Traeger followed her true passion and transitioned to full time visual artist.
Her experience in the world of design and printing comes out in this painting, wherein Traeger utilizes layering of paint and text. This layering reflects a very urban Vancouver, combining uplifting graffiti with the familiar faces of our city's crows. Traeger's muse is iconography, both in this painting and in her many series of Converse shoes, vintage toy still lifes or popular brands like Coca-Cola or Pepsi.
