What appeals to me about conceptual art is that it, more than many other genres, opens itself to the individual perspective of the viewer.
“The Long Way Home” could be reminiscent of war or, with Covid 19, the isolation many of us feel. Or it might suggest that the three images are the same person developing and changing as he moves through life. It could be a spiritual journey. Or is this a solitary person considering and navigating relationships. While we come in contact with others as we make our way through this life we are ultimately alone but not necessarily lonely. The strip along the right hand side could be interpreted as a highway suggesting time and distance or more abstractly it might suggest a film strip revealing a personal story.
