We all want to put “bad things” in the past (rear view mirror). But there are often good things with the bad (represented here as rain / rainbow). Thinking about COVID-19 for example, how do we keep some of the environmental benefits of working from home but also spur economic recovery. These are big questions that we will need to grapple with in the next few years. Even thought I was thinking of COVID when I painted this, I think there are lots of other examples this applies to, whether global, local, or personal. I should add that this by no means negates the devastating aspects of COVID, I’m just thinking we might find a way forward for one of our other global challenges - global warming - through rethinking how and where we work.
