Liminal Space is where transformation takes place. It is the time between what was and what will be next. When one has the potential to act, but has not yet done so. This process of waiting, not knowing what will become, is part of the process that we must patiently embrace - letting it form us.
Ironically, this piece evolved from no preconceived idea of what I was going to paint. It started as an art therapy piece as I just needed to create. Working through conflicting emotions, layer by layer, until the conflicts were resolved and the painting emerged.
