About the Artwork
We made a trip out to Elbow Falls, Alberta, one winter (prior to the flood) to take some pictures that would inspire a painting. The falls are fascinating in the way that they seem so serene and calm until they flow over the rocks. The smooth glassy fall was fun to capture in paint. The rough, dark cliffs make a perfect contrast to the soft purity of the snow blanket that caps them.
