Golden Thread is made from a photography of my beloved in our kitchen back in Victoria BC in 2018. We lived there for a year. This poetic and naturalness scene evokes the beauty of everyday moments. It remains now as a beautiful memory.
I am often playing in his long blond hair or twisting it in between my fingers that I call Golden Thread and then wonder. « I strongly believe that humans often imagine themselves alone (from behind), but when you turn around, you see a beautiful audience. The face is an openness and acceptance of coming face to face with life. » This painting reminds me how a person knows few about a stranger. This is how we make acquaintance. By that moment into the kitchen, wanting to freeze this moment with my camera, this subject grew in my mind since. It transported me to the mysterious universe of the human sphere. This portrait from behind can represents anyone. It makes us similar in a way that we are no longer that much strangers to each other now.
