Although not a spectacular view from my front window, the shapes, angles and contrasts have always beckoned me to put them to paper. Ink is one of my favourite mark making tools. Poetry is another of my favourite vehicles to communicate and encourage. In this older part of the city, trees lining the streets canopy-embrace one other ignoring the six feet distance rule. Light changes everything, pinks in morning mists and oranges as the sun fades. Gratitude brims for the blessing to live in this quiet backwater on ancient land.

"We live in a fractured world. This chaos is evident in my work. In between the rivulets of paint and the textural accidents I choose colours and forms to suggest a landscape where beauty continues to reign. She is essential to the survival of humanity."
