Thankfully, the eggs were gone. Tucked in under the balcony, the nests protected the young by simply being in too small a space for the intrusive magpies to plunder. Perfect for robins the incubation corner produced many new robins for the years to come. As homage to the immense skill robins manifest in the construction of their nests, I decided to spend a few hours depicting their beauty. The intricate weaving reminded me of lace.
