Early in the morning. I take about an hour for contemplation and meditation on Holy Scripture along with a quick peruse of my favourite theologians. During this time, a vision came to me whereupon I grabbed a pen and a piece of paper to scribble down the idea. Later I developed a more finished drawing and decided to do a series of mono prints, varying the colours slightly in each. A short version of life in general, this print is the third in the series describing the difficulty of surrendering control. In all our efforts to resist, we remain beloved.

"We live in a fractured world. This chaos is evident in my work. In between the rivulets of paint and the textural accidents I choose colours and forms to suggest a landscape where beauty continues to reign. She is essential to the survival of humanity."
