About the Artwork
The country is Botswana. From May until September, the Okavango river forms and drains to the Kalahari desert where a waterworld is created. There is a maze of shallow channels. All this water must either sink into the desert or just be evaporated. Red Lechwe are water adapted but Giraffe may find the unfamiliar experience of wading.
